A New Tani

It’s been a long time coming and I’m happy to announce the new Tani! I’ve committed to becoming a fit and healthy Tani and made the decision to be serious about my weight loss. I figured it was the one thing that I could control, as the rest of my life seemed to have fallen apart at the seams. Concentrating on my weight loss would provide some much needed balance that I couldn't find anywhere else.

I started simply by learning how to eat and what to eat. I had to pinpoint what my vice was and what lead to my weight gain. I hate to admit it, but I can’t say no to food. If I see it, I’ll want to eat it. It was hard to break the habit. I even worked coaches to help me conquer my eating vices. I started with Shani from Reformation Health Coaching, LLC last December.

It was with her expertise that I learned why I craved certain foods (of course, all bad for me). She also taught me how to redirect my emotions; where I was focusing my energy and helped me to see my goals clearly while teaching me how to eat properly.

Shani was God sent and helped me take my health seriously. God placed not only an amazing coach, but also an encourager that helped me through the beginning of my transformation. I was able to connect with Nicole Springer and through her program I learned that transformation is permanent. I fasted for 10 days and read biblical principles that helped me with my physical body.  Holli Sharma with Revolve Nutrition & Wellness, convinced me to start an Herbal Challenge...so, I did! The challenge kept me focused on the end result, not so much on my daily intake, but learning the importance of how food reacts in my body. Through Iron Tribe, I reconnected with my passion for weight lifting (which is incredibly sexy and all women should do since resistance is our friend). I lost weight not just by working hard to eat properly and starting a new fitness regime, but by also walking in FAITH. And I’m still not finished with my weight loss journey.

As I continue to push myself to becoming a more confident woman in this body God has given me, I have FAITH that He will continue to guide me. All I can say is that deciding to drop the weight has been the best thing I could have ever pushed myself to do. Despite all the hardships in my life, this weight loss journey has given me a strong foundation to build a new Tani on and I'm looking forward to new results as I continue dropping the pounds.

I know it’s going to take even more discipline to reach my goal weight and lose those last stubborn 10 pounds, but I’m determined to see my abs. And by God’s good graces, it will happen!
